Poem: Goodbye cloud I love, still

Goodbye Cloud I love, still

            By Paul Tomes

Love, Wisdom, Hope,

Had lacked in me

But now increased

Since spring had bloomed

And winter drained

Of sorrows rain.

The sun now shown

With dancing ray

And perfect made

This golden day,

But sad cloud came

And darkened me.

She shaded love,

She shadowed grace,

And ere eclipsed

What had increased.

But sorrows cloud

Did not stay,

For grey can change,

And drift away

Linger not in

Sky too long

But pass to Hope

Like sun from storm.

Upon her passing by

Hope looked on

With heaven’s eye,

Love thought, hello.

And Wisdom, goodbye.

I welcome your thoughts.
