New Poem: Alleluia in Agony

Alleluia in Agony

None knew
By the sound of our screaming,
But by our fetal bodies
Bent beneath the apron of silence,
We godless children,
Were mourning the absence of our fathers,
Adrift among the acrid air
That bore us down
And raised us up
In sea clouds of perpetually turbulent seasons
Of nether chaos
Spinning round and round
Revolving into order
Somehow. Somehow like how
We fought centripetal motion
To right our backs
Of their paralyzed round
Lurched towards heaven,
Mouthed our agony
But alleluia was our only audible sound.
